This is a working draft written for clarity, not a final legal document. Before public launch, Whamr should have these terms reviewed by a qualified lawyer, especially as features like accounts, uploads, and creator payments come online.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Whamr ("the Service", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
These terms apply to everyone who accesses or uses Whamr.
2 The Service
Whamr is a meme and sticker discovery and sharing platform. It lets you browse, search, save, and share meme and sticker content to third-party messaging apps including WhatsApp, Telegram, X, and others.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will not be liable for any such change.
3 Using Whamr
Most of Whamr can be used without an account. You browse the library, save favourites on your own device, and share to your messaging apps. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm others or the Service itself.
4 Content
The meme and sticker library is provided for personal sharing. Some content is drawn from open libraries such as OpenMoji (used under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence), and some is original or curated by Whamr.
You are responsible for how you use and share content. Do not use Whamr content in a way that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights.
5 Intellectual Property
The Whamr name, logo, design, and software are the property of Whamr. Open-licensed content (such as OpenMoji stickers) remains under its original licence, and we credit those sources where required.
If you believe content on Whamr infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it promptly.
6 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to share unlawful content.
- Share content that promotes hate, violence, harassment, or discrimination.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute the library in bulk without permission.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
7 Future Features
Whamr plans to add features such as user accounts, uploads, sticker pack export, and a creator programme. When those launch, additional terms may apply and will be presented to you at that time. Continued use after such changes means you accept the updated terms.
8 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or that any specific content will remain in the library.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whamr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10 Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes may be highlighted on the site.
